Meet Dr. Mark Colquitt

We are fortunate to have a tenured, dedicated surgeon who is well-experienced in bariatric surgery. Dr. Mark Colquitt is certified through the American College of Surgeons and Fellows of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.

Mark A. Colquitt, M.D., FACS, FASMBS
Born and raised in Knoxville, TN, Dr. Colquitt completed his four years of active duty in the Navy as a surgeon before returning to East Tennessee in 1994.

Dr. Colquitt earned his undergraduate and medical degree at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He completed his residency at St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, Connecticut and another one at Yale University’s School of Medicine in New Haven.

He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.

Dr. Colquitt performs bariatric surgeries using laparoscopic techniques and robot-assisted technology at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville.
